To have our own link from small farm to small farm, Nationally and Internationally.
I know many people that have their own small farm, yet do not have their own website, but would like to. They either do not have the time to build one, or do not know how. I would like to help these people.
I would also like to provide a farm to farm link between farming friends. We have our own small farm. I know that we have had many farm experiences and tales that are quite simular to some of our fellow farmers. I would like to be able to share these tales and experiences with others.
Farming is our way of life, web-building is my hobby. A hobby I truly love, and would like to make a career out of.

Experience:

My husband and I along with our 3 children (2 still at home), have been maintaining a small farm for 14 1/2 years now. We currently have 7 beef cows, 23 dairy goats, 2 emus, 2 laying hens, 5 bantom roosters, 2 dogs and 4 cats. In the past we have also raised: turkeys, pigs, rabbits, geese and a pheasant or 2.
I first built my own web-sites for my goat clubs. Both local and on-line. Later I built a web-site for a local sportsmen's club, and my own farm. I have also been asked to help build a web-site for a neighbor and fellow farmer. I have had many favorable comments about my web-sites. |
Education:

Although I have not had any formal training in either farming or web-building. I have had several years experience in farming and writing. My lack of formal training in web-building is why my rate are so low.

We are currently working on making our own Farm Friends Calendar for the year 2002. Anyone wishing to contribute pictures can email them to me at medleyfarm@hotmail.com. The pictures will be posted on our calendar photo page(s) later we will vote on our favorite photos. The pictures with the most votes will be placed in the calendar. Contributors of these winning photos will receive a calendar at 1/2 price.
